Sometimes you just know it's not going to be your day, & that's how we all felt when we turned up & Cwmbran fielded the biggest 12yr old in living history. Together with a few of his larger than average team mates there was a sense it was going to be a hard day at the office. But RTB were having none of it for the first 15 mins when they came out of the blocks in a determined mood & proceeded to take the game to the opposition in every facet. The forwards made great inroads & the backs spun the ball wide at every opportunity. Cwmbran managed 2 long distance tries before a good spell of pressure brought 2 great lineout moves which eventually yielded a barnstorming try for Ben King. Cwmbran then finished the half with some more tries more due to poor tackling than anything else.
The 2nd half was scoreless for RTB but Cwmbran managed 5 more tries with slick handling occasionally aided by poor defence. There were many plusses from today's performance not least the great start so if we can build on this then results will surely have to improve sooner rather than later. Men of the match awards went to Ben King & Jamie Prosser with Sam Jenkins picking up clubman. Well done boys, thanks from your coaches for the effort & commitment.
