RTB U13's travelled to Pontypridd expecting a tough game & so it unfolded. From the off Ponty went on the attack & they scored a few tries a little too easily. RTB fell off a few tackles against their bigger & faster opponents & found the going tough. As the half went on the away team woke up & started making inroads, earning penalties after some good drives & handling moves. The half time whistle saw Ponty 36:0 up.
The 2nd half was much improved, the parents were rewarded with some cracking one on one tackles as Ponty were forced into errors. Ponty won the 2nd half 10:0 testament to RTB's dogged defence.
The moral from today is defence wins you games, something we'll expect to see an improvement in at next weeks home game. Well done boys on upping your game after a slow start & lets train hard for next week against Abertillery.
