First home game of the new 2016/17 season at Hilltop Stadium between RTB and Nelson U13's.
Although it was played with 12 a side due to a lack of numbers from Ebbw Vale RTB both sets of coaches agreed on playing a full pitch and to the new rules for the season.
Nelson opened the scoring with a try in the first 3 minutes from wide after showing good hands.
RTB followed this with some strong phases of play throughout the game scoring 3 tries in slippery conditions through Ben King, Tyler Thomas & Aaron Chaffey.
Nelson scored some tries through good wide running, and together with  some accurate kicking from the tee thus finished a very well played game from both sides. RTB 15- 47 Nelson.
We look forward travelling down the valley later in the season to visit our friends from Nelson RFC.
